Pet Support for Seniors (PSS) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping low-income seniors keep and care for their companion animals.
Studies show that the companionship of a pet can greatly improve the quality of a senior's life. However, caring for a pet can become increasingly more difficult as one ages. Many seniors must face giving up their pet, just when love and companionship are most needed. Pet Support for Seniors works to assist seniors in the provision of daily routine care for their companion animals by providing a variety of supportive services. Our goal is to enable seniors to keep their pets in their homes and prevent premature relinquishment whenever possible.
Currently, PSS has partnered with several social service agencies in and around the Chicago area to distribute pet food to the seniors they serve. We are providing food for cats, dogs and birds. With your help, we can expand our work to other agencies and provide grooming and veterinary services in the future.
Your donation will help provide food for a companion animal in need. Please consider sending your tax-deductible donation today.
